Guajillo Chile Powder
The Guajillo, with its zesty and spicy taste, is one of the workhorse chiles that are popular in many Mexican cooked dishes, soups, stews, salsas, and sauces.
The Guajillo has an earthy, bright red color with a flavor that is slightly hot but is not overpowering with a simple dried-chile taste. It also has a hint of smoky tartness.
This is another chile from Mexico and these are considered a mild heat chile coming in at 1,000-2,000 SHU (Scoville Heat Units).
